Now officially live! We have added a new section to our website just for educators! This new resource includes listings virtual field trips, professional development offerings, and a wealth of additional resources all in one place! Amidst the uncertainties of working in a virtual environment, planning the upcoming school year will be that much easier with this one-stop repository of resources. As we move into 2021, the team at STEMSTL is working to bring a new organizational structure to the ecosystem to better align with our commitment to creating equitable STEM opportunity in the St. Louis area. First, we will be swearing in a new board in April, with 12 board members including 2 youth voices from the region. We will also be closing out our current workgroups in May to reorganize and launch our new workgroup structure in September! Both the board and workgroup members will reflect the racial and sector diversity of the St. Louis community. We are hoping this new structure will support more cross-sector collaboration and bring fresh perspectives to the ecosystem.
Workgroups involved: Student and Family Engagement, Broadening Participation
STEMSTL is proud to announce that we will be partnering with the Clark-Fox Family Foundation to build Blueprint4STEM! Blueprint4STEM will provide access to fun and engaging STEM learning opportunities for K-12 students. Afterschool and weekend programs will be featured, with the option to filter by important attributes such as cost, subject matter, and age group. Parents will finally be able to connect their kids with all the STEM learning opportunities in St. Louis in one convenient location! Special thanks to the Clark-Fox Family Foundation for helping us deliver this content through their widely regarded Blueprint4 platform!
We are working hard to bring you the portal this year, and are planning to launch in July 2021 – just in time to start looking for fall after-school programs. Stay tuned for more updates!
