RYEC

STEMSTL is proud to be the backbone organization for the Regional Youth Employment Coalition (RYEC). Established in 2018, RYEC is a region-wide collaborative focused on increasing youth employability and growing diverse talent pipelines. This collaborative effort includes organizations who represent non-profits, school districts, businesses, job training programs, and government agencies in the workforce development ecosystem. 

Mission: To foster economic empowerment through a racial-equity lens by increasing youth employability, growing diverse talent pipelines, and impacting systemic change as a synergistic, passion-driven collaborative.

Geography: St. Louis Metropolitan Statistical Area

Age Range: Our coallition member serve a wide range of ages, however our primary focus is ages 16-24 years old

 

RYEC Committee Members 2024

The Data Committee is working to build web based portal that will host a data dashboard of Work Based Learning Opportunities in the St. Louis Metro area, a searchable work based learning directory, wraparound services directory and RYEC’s Employability Skills resouces. 

The Training and Development Committee is working to publish an Employability Skills Playbook, which will includeresources for youth employment organizations including an Employability Skills portfolio Template to be used by youth. 

The Wraparound Services Committee is working to publish RYEC’s Report on Wrap around services for future coalition work.
